Govt. formation to be clearer in coming days: Hariri
BEIRUT: Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri said Monday that where the Lebanese government stands in the formation process will become clearer in the next few days.

Speaking with reporters after an event at the Grand Serail, the premier-designate addressed the pessimistic atmosphere that has governed the process since the tail end of last week.

"Things will become clearer in the upcoming two to three days," Hariri said.

The pessimism resulted from tensions between the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement over which party will be allocated the Justice Ministry in the new Cabinet. The LF has insisted on receiving the portfolio despite the refusal of the FPM, which argues that the ministry should be part of the share of President Michel Aoun, the FPM’s founder.
