UN Security Council set to vote on protecting Palestinians
Agence France Presse
UNITED NATIONS, United States: The U.N. Security Council is expected to vote Thursday at 6 p.m. (2200 GMT) on a draft resolution put forward by Kuwait calling for the protection of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, Kuwait's U.N. ambassador Mansour al-Otaibi said.

Diplomats say the United States is expected to block the measure with its veto power.
